To personalize your experience we store the items you add to your pantry, recipes you save or generate, meal plans you create, shopping lists, cuisines you prefer, ingredients you like or avoid, and the chef channels you follow.

If you choose to scan a grocery receipt, we process the image to extract item names, quantities, and prices using optical character recognition. Receipt images may be stored temporarily for processing and quality improvement and are deleted on a rolling basis. You can disable receipt scanning at any time.

You may optionally provide dietary preferences (for example vegetarian, gluten-free, low-sodium) or health-related goals (for example heart-friendly, diabetic-friendly eating patterns). This information is used solely to personalize food recommendations and chef content. The Food Maestro is not a medical service. The information you provide is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and we do not make medical claims. Health-related information provided by users may be used to apply personalization settings, dietary restrictions, ingredient exclusions, and recommendation safeguards intended to improve the relevance of food-related recommendations.

Subscriptions and payments are processed through Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Stripe may process payment information such as your name, billing details, payment method, transaction identifiers, billing country, subscription status, and the last four digits of your payment card. Stripe’s privacy policy governs its handling of payment data.

We collect usage data such as feature interactions, screens viewed, session length, device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and approximate location derived from IP address. This data helps us measure performance, fix bugs, and improve the Service.

The Food Maestro uses a combination of artificial intelligence, machine learning technologies, automated decision-support systems, user preferences, and rule-based safeguards to generate meal plans, recipe recommendations, pantry suggestions, shopping recommendations, and other personalized content.

Recommendations may consider information such as pantry inventory, dietary preferences, ingredient restrictions, food allergies, household characteristics, budget preferences, wellness goals, and other information voluntarily provided by users.

To improve recommendation quality and personalization, the Service may use automated safeguards, user-defined dietary restrictions, ingredient exclusions, and platform rules designed to reduce the likelihood of recommendations that conflict with stated user preferences or restrictions.

While we strive to provide accurate and relevant recommendations, automated systems may occasionally produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable recommendations. Users remain responsible for reviewing recommendations and verifying ingredient suitability, allergen information, dietary appropriateness, and nutritional considerations before making purchasing, preparation, or consumption decisions.

The Food Maestro does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, nutritional counseling, or healthcare services. Recommendations generated by the Service are intended for informational, educational, and meal-planning purposes only.

The Food Maestro may use a combination of automated technologies, personalization systems, user-provided information, platform rules, and recommendation models to provide individualized food-related experiences.

These systems are designed to support user decision-making by organizing information, simplifying choices, and presenting food recommendations that align with user preferences and stated constraints.

The Service is intended to assist users in making food-related decisions and should not be considered a substitute for professional medical, dietary, nutritional, or healthcare guidance.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and personalize the Service;
• Generate recipe, pantry, meal plan, and shopping recommendations;
• Process payments and manage subscriptions;

We do not sell your personal information. The Food Maestro does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. After account deletion we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
